GPSR Information

The EU's new product safety regulation, known as the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), came into force on 13 December 2024.

What does this mean for us as a retailer? All new consumer products placed on the EU market from this date must contain additional mandatory information in particular when sold via online shop. According to the GPSR regulation, this information must be clearly and visibly displayed on the product.

An important note:
Products that were placed into the market and onto our online store before 13 December 2024 and do not contain the mandatory GPSR information may continue to be sold. The sale of these products may continue without restrictions.

Our job as a retailer is to provide certain product information in accordance with the GPSR requirements in order to increase safety and transparency for you, our customers.

How we have worked our GPSR policy for your safety;

If the manufacturer of the product is in the EU, we attempt to provide the following:

  • the name, registered trade name (company name) or registered trade mark of the manufacturer of the product offered, and
  • the postal address and
  • an e-mail address

If the manufacturer of a product on offer does not have an establishment in the EU, we attempt to include the following in the product offers affected by this, in addition to the above-mentioned manufacturer information:

  • the name, the registered trade name (company name) or the registered trade mark,
  • the postal address and
  • an e-mail address of the so-called responsible person.

The responsible person is: 

  • the importer if the manufacturer is not established in the EU, or
  • the authorised representative who has been instructed in writing by the manufacturer to perform the specified tasks on behalf of the manufacturer.

Note: the importer is any natural or legal person established in the EU who places a product from a third country on the EU market.

We also attempt to include any warnings and/or safety information in our products on offer.
